HAPPY NEW YEAR 2017

Not often I wake up early enough to enjoy the sunrise, but
with our sunrises in Tara, I may make it a habit.
After spending the last six winters in
Florida, Dottie is showing Maggie what
she has missed in our winter wonderland.
The view of the Sauble River from our living room is very peace full.
Even wooden "Bruce the bear" seems to enjoy winter.
This is the first winter for our new cement driveway.
Both myself and the snow blower like the upgrade.
The path to the river is waiting for some cross county activity.
The river dam was removed a number of years ago and since then,
the water quality has improved and the natural flow of the river
has returned.
The river has lots of open water and attracts a wide
variety of wild life.
The ducks are no chicken and cruise the river looking for
food sources.
Local beavers gather at the water edge to socialize.
On our front lawn a woodpecker finds a meal.
Blue Sky
Canada has lots of "banks" this time of year.
Dining room window view is a nice way to
start the day.
Our side of the Sauble River
Having a quiet setting is a nice feature of River Street.
The local legion is a short walk on River St.
We try to take in many food events during the year.
A nice crop of snow banks to start the new year!

Kellie did a great job on building Mr. Snowman.
River Bend
I will try to post more in the new year.
Chris is recovering nicely with her new hip and I'm next with my knee replacement in the spring. All the medical issues combined with selling
our beloved Dorcas and updating Tara, has kept us in orbit for the last few months.
May you have peace and joy in the New Year!
