SUNNY SOUTH SIGHTS

Each time we travel to downtown Naples, we pass this wonderful sculpture of wild horses.
It is located at the entrance of a huge golf resort.
What a beautiful piece of art.
Bike trail sights are everywhere.

Egrets and a blue heron out for lunch.
Double Crested Cormorant
Indigo snake sunning along the bike trail.
They are the largest native snake and can grow to nine feet.
The yellow line shows the walking route from the parking lot to the
Tigertail Beach on Marco Island. The island is located on the Gulf of Mexico
a few miles south of Naples Florida.
We have to walk along the beach of a lagoon....
and walk over to the main beach.
The short walk passes through the  lagoon which at low tide is quite interesting.
Passing the wildlife on this trek is a treat.
Tigertail Beach has it all!
Water Sports
Great Shelling
This old local catch of a small shark reminds us of the seaside setting.
A dip in the 72 deg water is a must do!

Heading back to the vehicle quickly made us understand why the beach crowd was smaller.
This water looked too much like black water as a result of the tide coming in.
ARE WE THERE YET!!
The water level has changed the inner beach activity from sunning to "quick save our stuff".
The wildlife seem to laughing at us as we crossed the lagoon.
Local markets seem to 'SPRING UP ANYWHERE"!
Our day ends with a beautiful sunset in the park.

HAPPY NEW YEAR-2014!

New Year's Eve walk around the park.
 Local Colour
Relaxing before heading to the Naples Beach to view
the evening fire works.
Our resort crowd gathered on the beach.
They suggested we take extra clothing since the temperature
was dropping to the mid seventies! YEAH!
The sun began to set over the pier.
 "Bring it ON"
 SUNSET

The sun has set and the show begins.
Hundreds of fire lanterns filled the air.
A resort group are ready for their lantern launch.
 Up and away!
Fireworks Begin!

Amazing "Miller/Mac LEAN" light show.
A WINNER!
