GASPE CRUISIN'

Before arriving in the maritimes we let other drives be aware of our touring habits.
As we head to Cape Breton, our ship "Blue Puttees" meets the "Atlantic Vision" on our port side.
 Cape Breton comes in sight.
The harbour WWII battery was my favorite play ground.
 View from the cliff.
Hunting fossils on the shore was great play.
Tides were high so shore walking was limited.
English Bay at the end of the Cabot Trail as viewed from Kelly's mountain.
A stop over at Wally's of Turo NS.
NB campsite complete with lots of rain.
A moose fence along the highways of NB.
Our first views of "LA BELLE PROVINCE" QC.
 Wonderful ride.
Great food in New Carisle - cod nuggets!
 HUMBER!!!
Clawing her way home.

OFF THE "ROCK"

We are off the "ROCK" and travelling thru the Maritimes.
Our stay in NL was beyond what words and pictures can express.
It was an experience of great people and places we will never forget.
Visiting relatives and making new friends highlighted our trip and we are looking forward to our next visit.

WEST BROOK POND TOUR NL

The entrance to the Gros Morne Western Brook Pond fjord.
This was the second attempt to take the tour as the weather had been too foggy at the start of our visit. The extra 300km to return to the pond was well worth it. To check it out just click http://www.bontours.ca/western_brook/index.htm.
This boat tour required a 6km walk to reach and return from the boat launch.

The walk was a moderate challenge but worth the effort.

The path was a treat to the eyes.

Boat line up.
On we go into the area that is so well known from the park promotional views.
Enjoy!

The exit from the fjord.
That evening we rested at a campsite in Corner Brook NL.
