Paris Visit

An early morning start to Paris greeted us with a countryside sunrise.
A quick roll call and we're off.
Our hotel was located a short walk from the Champs Elysees
and provided excellent accommodation.
Chris stops traffic to visit the boulanger shop across from the hotel.

A great takeout pasta shop was also close by.
A Paris Pizza Hut fleet of delivery vehicles.
Entertainment on the Paris Metro
A custom '51 Mercury on display at a local art gallery.
Locals on a walk in Paris.
A Citroen car dealer on the Champs Elysees.
Numerous temptations in the "city of light".
Symbol of  Paris.
The Louvre
The Seine
A very busy river.

Break Time!
Paris has many scooters.
This two front wheel model was very popular.
Beautiful walking sights.
Due to its location on the Montmartre hill, the basilica towers over the city; its highest point is even higher than the top of the Eiffel Tower.
Thanks to this prominent location the Sacré-Coeur Basilica is one of the most
noticeable landmarks in Paris.
Food Art

Hoping my new shop does well on the Champs Elysees.
While roaming the city, a group of Asian tourists had me pose with them since my red beret signalled the presence of a true Parisian. Quickly I spoke my finest french to make their day.
"BUT OF COURSE"
A bike cab around the Arc de Triomphe was a tense experience.
I had never seen one before and now Chris and I were "living the thrill".
After eight stops to ask directions to our hotel, we arrived safely at our hotel.
A large tip and many thanks completed his forty minute work out.
Since I misplaced my newly issued passport, a few visits to the Canadian Embassy and the local police station were required. Luckily a temporary travel passport was issued in time for our flight.
Visions of  prison time in Paris France never came true.
Travel Note: If you have to go to a police station in Paris, asking to speak to Inspector Cousteau,
can be very interesting.
