BEAUTIFUL OTTAWA

We had a great road trip from Blyth to Barrie and on to Ottawa.
This was the first time travelling the central highways towards Bancroft, Renfrew and on to Ottawa.
The campground in Nepean is a great facility only minutes from downtown Ottawa.
Looking for Thai treats around the Byward Market.
 Bingo!!
A great green curry with tiger shrimp.
 Heading to the art gallery.
Gallery outdoor area.
 Gallery entrance area.
Stopping for snack before viewing the VAN GOGH exhibit.
The snacks here were all "works of art"!
Fresh baking at the Byward Market.
The Obama cookies were "hot sellers".
The War Museum is always interesting and is free (parking also) for active and retired military members and their spouse.
After a get together with some long time friends, we had a quiet resting night at our campsite.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN

We arrived in Blyth ON on Friday evening and headed for the community campground.
Since it was packed with square dance teams from the area, I was concerned that "alamans left and rights" would make for a restless night
We settled in a remote area of the campground and had a most peaceful night.
The square dancers really are serious competitors and tucked in early to be in top forum for their upcoming events.
Blyth is a small village that has top quality live theater.
Chris and I have been going there for years and have enjoyed many productions with a truly Canadian content and theme.
The whole village is very supportive of the theater in proving accommodations and many dinners sponsored  by local organisations.
This years production of the Trudeau Stories has been very well received.
For us it was a travel back in time and very entertaining.
