HOME, HOME ON THE BAY

Crane River Park is a beautiful spot for reflecting.
Lunch on the front deck.
Things are slowly getting back to normal.
Canoe at sunset.
Wild Flowers
Blossoms and Birds
The Chee Cheemaun ferry departing on a foggy morning.
Tobermory waterfront is getting busy.
Sunset on the Bay.
Tree on fire!!!
No-just the effect of a sunset on a friends driveway.

Late evening walk home along the shore.

My signs are up with hopes to warn drivers that Snapping Turtles will soon be laying eggs in the gravel alongside Dorcas Bay Road. Check back for some "Snaps of the snappers".
Our "Naples Florida Pier at Sunset" has a special place in our home.
This collection of the various wild life encountered during our winter getaway also brings back recalls of the great adventure we experienced.

HOMEWARD BOUND

Day one out of SC seemed perfect, than storm warnings started.
Note: many of the highways have wildflowers planted on the road sides.
Skies were building but no weather conditions to worry about.
Stopped at a rest area to view Pilot Mountain (Mount Airy) in NC.
It has a great State Park for camping at the base of the mountain.
Maggie was just relaxing as always.
We setup at a great RV resort in Summerville WV.
A community project at the park was the construction of a lighthouse from the
damaged wind farm sections of a local wind farm project. All the work was done by volunteers and the welding by the local high school welding class. After calculating the height of the  structure, I picked a  camp site just beyond that distance. I guess my own experience in a high school welding class influenced that decision.
The tower also gave the impression that I had a "SUPER DUPER" TV antenna on our trailer!!
The scenery along the highway was beautiful.

In Clarksburg WV, we had to visit one of our very favorite Mexican restaurants.
EL Rincon has been our choice when travelling through WV for over ten years.
Their seafood dishes are "mucho good".
The "Grand Chicken Burrito" is also "mucho grand".
Back on the route was an experience.
Rain was turning to snow making visibility difficult.
At last, a chance to test the snow tires I had installed before leaving for Florida.
I had wanted to put some miles on the tires and now I could check out their ability to keep up with a GOODWILL delivery truck as we would most likely end up at a GOODWILL store anyway!!
Washington PA had space available at a local Wally so we pulled in early.
It was cool and wet all night but we were comfortable and warm and enjoyed a quiet night.
Good weather was a nice change for our next journey into NY state.
Our last night in the states was spent at a Wally Campground south of Buffalo NY.
A great area that appeared newly developed.
Across the border, we headed to a terrific Thai restaurant in Guelph ON.

The trip to Kellie's home was snowy most of the route.
Snow was in the air and staying on the ground.
Great O Canada, chance of snow eight months of the year!

Icy arrival in Tara,ON.
HOME SWEET HOME in the tub.
Back Yard
Evening view from the boat house.
Thanks for your company on our trip.

Arrived home safely Monday 13 May.
We had a very interesting trip home with the "winter like" weather.
As soon as the local Internet provider repairs our connection,
