FALL IN THE BAY(really)

Fishing in the evening at Little Tub Harbour.
Great way to end the day.
 Maritime Morning
A little rain brings life back to the flowers.
The Monarch migration has been small this year.
Our backyard is a registered Way Station for this wonderful visitor.
Snapping turtle eggs after a "raccoon raid".
Only 5 to 10%  of turtle eggs hatch.
 One of the lucky few!
Maggie picking out a pumpkin at a local stand.
Lucky for the buyer I was able to reel her in before she "marked" her choice.
 Now-this is my favorite pumpkin!
I believe it was a 1932 Dodge. Too bad the motor was a four letter word.
CHEV
Dottie and Maggie sharing a chair during Dottie's sleep over.
 New Dorcas Bay website!
This is how the local geese "salute" a close encounter.

BUSY SUMMER ON THE BAY

A monarch and hummingbird moth in competition in our garden.
Close up of the unique moth.
Our apple crop has been the best in years.
Here's hoping we beat the bears to harvest!
Traffic hour in the wetland.
Maggie "spooked out" this small  rattler this week.
The smaller rattlers are really aggressive so caution is required.
Evening fog rolling in our bay.

Chris is fine tuning her art gear for our trip to France this fall.
This portable easel is a product of our own design.
Sept 16 was our 46th anniversary.
A quiet dinner home with a chilled bottle of Presidents champagne was a flash back to our
honeymoon in PEI. Great times !!

BUSY SUMMER

Chris and I displayed a selection of our art at the Bruce Peninsula National Park this summer.
It was a fun event but with two other shows the summer was hectic. I sold my frog canvas wrap and Chris sold a winter scene of the Tobermory light house.
I think my art sales career is over.
Note: Van Gough only sold one painting while he was alive!
