GIVHANS FERRY STATE PARK SC

The park is located 130km from Edisto Island and 50 km north of
Charleston. It's located of the bluffs of the Edisto River which is the
longest free flowing blackwater river on the continent.
This is the 3km trail that travels along the river bank.
The river is a busy fishing/rafting site and up to the nineteen
hundreds this location provided ferry service to the
Charleston area.

This little four foot garter snake was located at the washroom
entrance. This was my favorite washroom as it was never busy.

We spent two days in the park with hopes of touring Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island but our time was short and the traffic long due the holiday weekend.
