IT HAS SNOWED!!

Colours of summer are fading.
Great weekend to go exploring.
(if you have your "winter tires" installed)Even the Wiatron Willie statue has covered his eyes to this weather.
Trees take on a fresh colour and shape.
Water, wind, snow and temperature are now reflected in the lake.
Driveways are still there but camouflaged by nature.

What a treat to just stroll in our great outdoors.
It has snowed every day for the last three days with low temperatures of -3c.

IN MEMORY OF DAVID WILLSON

Firefighter's Prayer
When I'm called to duty God,
wherever flames may rage
give me strength to save a life
whatever be its age.
Help me to embrace a little child
before it is too late;
or save an older person
from the horror of that fate.
Enable me to be alert
to hear the weakest shout
and quickly and efficiently
to put the fire out.
I want to fill my calling
and to give the best in me;
To guard my neighbour
and protect his property.
And if according to your will
I have to lose my life,
bless with your protecting hand
my children and my wife.
REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND

Late Fall in the Bay

The sands of singing Sands
Ducks out number visitors in Little Tub
Massasauga Rattler "warming up" in the sun at the base of a tree.
Take care as I have recorded them active well into November.
I wish this guy would pay rent.
Our now frozen cranberries are a winter delight for the birds.
Most pleasure craft are now "high and dry" for the winter.
The weather is still "upside down".
LET IT SNOW,SNOW,SNOW!

November Has Arrived

Large amounts of rainfall have replaced our lawn with a mushroom crop.
The weather over the lake is quickly changing.
Young tamaracks - the embarrassing "evergreen".
Our orchard has been trimmed for winter.
A lonely duck has the lake to its self.
This large toad camped at our front door for two days - seeking heat.
Evening on Dyers Bay.
