WEST TO CALIFORNIA

Highway views on route to California.
Our beloved saguaro are becoming rare.
 Cotton being readied for shipping.
Many sand storms were noted in the distance and although the warnings were displayed, we never encountered one during our travels.
This baby was a "deal" at a local RV show.
I bet the 8 track still worked!!
Just across the Colorado River we spent two nights in a KOA.
Our site was about 10 feet from the river on the California side.
The Colorado river is certainly an American icon.
That creature in the distance was a mule deer.
It was the only living thing we saw after being lost in the desert for three hours.
Thanks Garmin!!
View of the highway as we drove into the valley towards Palm Springs.
The San Bernardino Valley has about 4000 wind generators spread through the area. They have been there almost 40 years and I can recall flying over them in an Argus A/C out of Summerside PEI in the 1970's.
We arrived at the Desert Springs Spa RV park in the late afternoon.
 A quick setup.
A sweet view of the snow on the mountains.
This hot mineral water pool got a lot of use by us for two weeks.
CHECK BACK FOR THE JOSHUA TREE STATE PARK
TOUR.

Wonderful as always to follow your blog. We have one more week on beautiful Niue. Certainly one of the most peaceful islands in the world. No crime no noise no tourists and the most friendly people we've ever encountered. Even the weather is improving. So many stories to share on the bay when we all return home.
