Wandering the state park beach in the evening.
Blue herons are everywhere and anywhere in the area.
For some reason, maybe my daily ration of a large cod liver oil capsule, blue herons have landed without warning close to my location. This must be one of the little known side effects of taking cod liver oil. I must check the packaging information.
The park sites are spacious.
Can't seem to find out what kind of caterpillar type creature this three inch species could be!
Oh well, each day we walk together and I don't have to feed it or put it on a leash.
Maggie is enjoying her new hair do and already has Christmas lights in her room.
The boardwalk to the beach is a treat,
Sunsets from the boardwalk are almost as good as Dorcas Bay.
A wide variety of plants and wildlife are encountered on our strolls.
AH!! A beach landing.
A small theatre in the park was showing an interesting movie.
Walking trail.
Weather moves across the beach.
Retail Christmas is in the air.

I saw a grey heron on the 'shores' of our creek at the back of the house yesterday. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, being that it's mid-December. That guy needs to make his way to Alabama soon!!
Keep the photos and updates coming Dad, always interesting to see your travels.
love you,
Kellie
