The fishing pier at Myrtle Beach State Park SC.
The park was voted one of the ten best parks in America.
We have been coming here as a family for over thirty years and I have flown in with the RCAF Argus aircraft numerous times. The USAF base was across the street and in the late eighties the base was closed and developed into a huge shopping and housing area known as Market Common.
The park entrance road is beautifully groomed.
The park has one of the last stands of shore line forest in South Carolina.
Walking trails have a wide variety of wildflowers native to SC.
Wild life is abundant throughout the park.
The Park Rangers put on a show for the kids and adults every Easter.
A short walk to a great beach is a feature of this Park.
The beach views are spectacular both on the north and south side of the Pier.
AH! It's a dogs life here!
The birthday girl visits a nearby steak house, DAMONS, to celebrate........
..with a FREE meal!!! What a treat!
