Our new RV seemed like a great 45th anniversary gift.
We just have to try it out!
Arriving at Inverhuron Provincial Park on Lake Huron for our anniversary "getaway" trip.
In addition to the spectacular beach and dunes, Inverhuron
includes wetlands and a young hardwood forest. The diverse habitat
nurtures rare plants and protects many woodland animals and birds. The park is
also steeped in history. Aboriginal people roamed here for thousands of years.
In the 1800s, a small town was located in what is now part of the provincial
park.
Great sandy beach.
Interesting rocky shore line.
Chris enjoying the warm fall water.
Here's a pic of a beautiful milk snake enjoying the many trails in the park.
Lots of flowers were still in bloom.
Ancient rocks marked the trails.
Evening sunsets were a joy.
Here's to 45 more joyful years on the road of life.
