On 9 Feb 1909 the "First Flight in the British Empire"
Little seems to be known about a replica Silver Dart, built by theRCAF, that was flown in Baddeck Cape Breton on the 9 Feb 1959
on the 50th Anniversary. I was there as a high school student.
Tomorrow an other anniversary flight will be attempted by another
replica built in Hamilton and set to fly again in Baddeck.

It's amazing to think that in a short 60 years we
advanced from a short flight in Baddeck to
a journey to the moon!!!
