OFF TO NEW FOUNDLAND

The lighthouse in Baddeck CB.
The lobster suppers in Baddeck with the "all-u-can eat" mussels.
Plank cooked salmon is also on the menu.
At last, the Arm of Gold Campground. It is located 4 miles from the NFL ferry.
Lighthouse on the lake, as viewed from the Seal Island bridge.
It's the McLOBSTER time of year.
Lobster boat checking traps just down from where our home was once located.
Local church at the campground.
Lochman's Beach.
I used to pick shore coal here. My uncle Coke's land is in the back ground.
Shore line.
Clouds over the Bras d'Or Lakes.
Walking trail at the campground.
The ship we hope to take to NFLD.
The was a good deal but maybe not.

THROUGH NS AND ON TO CAPE BRETON

Maggie and Garmin helped navigate our journey.
It's that time of the year in the Maritimes.
One night we had to pull into a WALLIE because no campground was available.
When we arrived I thought the parking lot was full!!!
It was really a RV dealer display.
We quietly pulled into the Wallie garden centre.
In 10 seconds we installed our "Wallie Camo" and had a great night's rest.
A lobster supper at Baddeck the next day made our day.
Shortly after crossing the Seal Island bridge on the Bras d'Or lakes we arrived at our campsite outside Sydney Mines Cape Breton.

DOWNEAST FAVORITE

Guess who's coming to dinner?
Hint-it's dressed in RED!
Pickings good here.
Adding the heat.
YUMMY!!
LOBSTER salesman
Great breakfast at JEANIES of Bar Harbor.
I call it the "Best Lobster break in town".
This is the boat that caught the LOBSTER.
This is where the lobster live.
I like to make sure the lobster traps are in good shape so none will escape!
Enjoying a down home "Mac Lobster" break.
And another!
A great "LOBSTER Plate".

WAYNE NJ to OLD ORCHARD BEACH ME

On our journey from NJ to ME we stopped at a RR fast food location.
Roy was my hero as a kid but I couldn't do that menu.
I bet even Trigger would say "NAAA!".
OH OH maybe it was Trigger!!!
Here's some pics taken from the truck as we passed through an area the tornado hit in MA. We had no idea it touched down in lower MA also. We were lucky to have missed numerous floods and tornadoes in the areas we have travelled.
A quiet night in Old orchard beach.

WASHINGTON DC to WAYNE NJ

We're out of Washington DC and on the NJ turnpike.
I noticed many of the hydro  poles in NJ had solar cells mounted directly on the pole. Since we have similar solar cells on our home in Dorcas Bay, I was pleased to hear that the NJ hydro has over 100,000 cells mounted as a green project. I hope to found out more info on this great project.
Rest breaks happen!
Maggie enjoyed the trip and as a treat we spent the night in a great motel in Wayne NJ.

VIRGINIA BEACH VA to WASHINGTON DC

This was a HOT trip.
We camped in Washington DC at the same KOA as in previous visits.
Since we visited Washington recently we spent the day in the pool and rested for two overnights.
Maggie has a custom seat for the journey.
Maggie enjoyed the "barking lot" at the KOAs.
