CHANCE SIGHTING

While waiting outside GoodWill, I noticed a flash of white movement in the distance of an undeveloped field. I carefully crossed the field, without encountering any snakes etc., and came upon a pair of swans in a small marsh area. The male was on guard and I managed to move closer each time he placed his head in the wetland.
I was a little concerned since my last encounter was in Owen Sound and it was unpleasant for me, the swan and the MNR who observed the incident.
To his left was his mate nestled on a newly constructed nest.
I will check back to see the results.

BUSY LAST DAY OF APRIL 2010

This was a great way to end April.
This was a real old style Rummage Sale.
Chris is lost in the crowd. Flounder is one of our favorite seafood.
Home made chocolate goodies were a sweet treat. After that event, a rest on the beach was enjoyed.
The water was in the 70's with waves of sweet salt water.
Just up from the beach were a few photo ops.

We finished off the evening with a local live play at the seniors center in Myrtle Beach.
