WINTER ON THE BRUCE -18c(0f)
On a clear night in January be prepared for cool temperatures.
Sunrise in the morning brings just a glow of heat.
Our creek run off is still in this winter grip.
Light snow on a field is at the mercy of the wind.
Only a few creatures stir.
If your pet stops walking bring her inside.
In Canada after school, it's "GAME ON".

WEATHER SCENE
The weather over the last few days has been most interesting.
Last evening the sunset was spectacular.
Light snow covers our deck in flowing shapes.
Our backyard garden is trimmed in snow.
Light falling snow fills the air.
Little Tub Harbour coast line.
Back road to home.
As I was walking last evening, I always check the wetland for wildlife. Normally the lake side is the most active but this evening a river otter appeared on the inland side. As I reached inside my jacket for my camera, my actions opened my battery compartment and on withdrawal the batteries were ejected into a snow bank. I shouted to the otter a request to remain while I "kicked" around the snow to locate my batteries. Two minutes latter my polite local resident remained still while I capture this image.
