he still misses the lake.

OFF TO THE BACKYARD
Our young fruit trees are quickly
taking to their new home.
Chris has the gardens out back
looking like one of her water
colour paintings.
The martin house,relocated
from Kellie's home, has been
occupied all summer by a bird
family with many offspring.
Landscaping along the garage
looks smart and requires low
maintenance.
The front lawn feeders, have
attracted a wide variety of birds.
This is the "sunset show" on the
river edge.
Many buildings in TARA date back
to the 19th century.
This beautiful "Smoke Bush"
displays the reason for it's name.
One time location of a dam site
on our river.
I placed a few lawn chairs on the river
front for the use of passersby to relax
and enjoy the view.

Our river banks have a wide
variety of growth.
Across the river, rolls of hay are set
to dry. After harvest, another crop
will be planted.
This summer, the result of non-stop
raining is the large number of
mushroom patches in our
wooded areas.
